NATARAJAN IYER (Proprietor)     29 September 2015

Forget your son's legal position.

That will be decided only at the court, when your son's advocate argues and highlights the points that you have mentioned.

But the retired police can file a complaint and scare you.

When your mind is scared, the police will keep calling, adding pressure.

So, in one shot, close the matter. First let your son file a complaint against his friends.

Same day, write a letter in good english, with translated copy in your state's official language and send it by SPEED POST ACKNOWLEDGEMENT due to the DGP & IGP of Police, of your state.

In that letter, mention that any harm to your health ( both body and mind ), that retired police is to be held responsible.

Mark a copy of that letter to the Home Secretary.

Home Secretary will forward your letter to the Commissioner of Police.

Office of the Commissioner of Police will call your son.

Your son might meet the Jt.Commissioner or Addl.Commissioner or the file might be sent to the DCP of your area.

Meet them and briefly narrate the points.

Keep repeating the fact of threatening by the retired police officer.

That retired police officer will come to meet the seniors.

He will try to create a scene as if DCP/ Commissioner's office is his house.

But do not bother.

Just watch him in SILENCE.

Tell him without getting tensed that the law can take it's own course.

After this, meet a criminal lawyer and be relaxed.

Let that retired police do whatever he wants. Do not bother.

LIFE AND LAW DO NOT GET OVER IN ONE DAY.

ONE FINE DAY, IT WILL TURN AGAINST THE RETIRED OFFICER, SINCE YOU CAN LATER FILE FOR DEFAMATION,...etc

BUT, IF YOUR SON IS WRONG, HE IS INTO SERIOUS PROBLEMS

COMPROMISE WITH THE RETIRED POLICE OFFICER.

IF YOUR SON IS NOT AT FAULT, YOU MAY FOLLOW MY SUGGESTIONS ABOVE.
