Letters of patent means written grant of authority by government to some institution. As lefters of patent of high court authorise them with some power. A letters patent appeal derives its authority 4m letters of patent of that high court. This is theoretical aspect. no third appeal is there in either crpc, cpc

Hello, thank you for your query.

Letters patent is a type of legal instrument in the form of a published written order issued by a monarch, president, or other head of state, which generally grants an office, right, monopoly. title, or, status to a person or corporation. Letters patent can be used for the creation of corporation or government offices, or for granting city status or a coat of arms.

Section 96 of the CPC provides that an appeal shall lie from a decree passed by any Court exercising original jurisdiction to the authorized appellate Courts, except where expressly prohibited. Section 100 provides for a second appeal under this code. It states that an appeal shall lie to the High Court from a decree passed in the first appeal by a subordinate Court.

There is no third party appeal.
