Marriage with cousin sister's daughter

My friend is currently doing job. He wants to marry a girl who is daughter of his cousin sister.

I wish to know whether such a marriage would be legal at all according to Hindu Marriage Act?

Both boy and girl are adult.

Any help plz?

THIS IS A void relationship. not valid under law. he can marry her and live with her till one of them has any objection to it to have it voided.

Can you please elaborate?...what is the meaning of void relationship??

and If its not valid under law....does that mean the boy would be arrested or some legal action could be taken against him??

the girl too wants to marry the boy.

Sec-5 HMA under Hindu marriage act marrige is vaild if:-

1. It is solomonised between two adult hindus.

2.persons should have 3 generation  gap from mother side and atleast 5 gen gap from father side.
