Media Activism in Criminal Cases

Oflate, what i have observed is the media activism in criminal cases.

it is one thing to point out the lapses in the investigation or in the orders in legal angle, tv media is creating hype among the masses, who are not legally that knowlegeable. In the discusssions, sweeping remarks are made against the judicial orders. Discussing legal issues in the orders is one thing, but condemning the said orders in public fora, without adequate legal knowledge has to be given thought of.

Courts, mostly, act on evidence. Even if they do not, remedy in the form of appeal exists. If media is playing to the gallery, some times, in sensitive cases, evidence may be lost by the investigator.

I think it would be contempt of court if one criticises the judicial orders? Does the media not aware of it?

Comments please.
