Mutual Consent Divorce

Please clarify me in this regard - In mutual consent divorce can the 6 months waiting period after filing the petition be reduced on the grounds that the 2 petitioners are already aged - both 40 years old ? Can the waiting period be reduced on this ground at bangalore ?

1. No.

2. If couple are in their 40's then it is considered mature age to 'ultimately' get over with all that was not rosy all these times between them as in, a last milestone of 6 months waiting to be part and parcel of maturity age which needs to be born out. Flip view is, afterall any lesser period was not worth reaching 40's then deciding is it not so!

Actually they were married only last year. He turned out to be a gay & never revealed before marriage. To come out of it amicably mutual divorce was thought of.

In all other options ....................the either party may drag the matter for years and it may go upto one's 50's also...

hence MCD and 6 months wait is the best bargain available
