Need advice

Dear Members

My friends wife has left him without information 2 years ago to her mothers house. after 11 months she again came back and stayed with him for 6 months. again she left him without information 7 months ago along with his 3 years old kid. She wants him to stay away from his mother and wants him to settle down in their village. He doesnt want toleave his mother and wants divorce. How long he should wait to file the divorce case?

You can apply divorce at any time. If you have a compromise measure, then you can file divorce by mutual consent also.

Few more questions:-

On what grounds he can apply divorce?

It seems she will not agree for the divorce by mutual consent. But my friend is very clear that he wants divorce as her habit has become going to her parents house stays months together without contacts.
