Not Obaying Stay Order by court

there is a land in my father's name in a taluka head quarter in gujarat . a person has a plot in neighborhood who had encroached way to my father's land to expand his plot. court had passed stay order. but the person is not obeying court order and is further encroaching into my father's land gradually. we has made police complaints and FIR registered but He is not stopping. police is doing nothing. what can be done now? writ petition to high court help?

you need to file contempt petition against that person who is disobeying court order. Maximum jail is of 3 months if proven guilty by the court.

Hope this would solve your problem with the opposite party.

Contempt is asking the Judge to punish someone for not obeying a court order.
