Original property document submission during heirship

My aplication for heirship is currently being processed in Civil Court at Panvel, Maharashtra.

The lawyer i appointed has submitted copies of property documents in court at the time fo filing of application. I am now being instructed to submit original property documents in court or order will not be passed. Is this true? What does the property ahve to do with the establishment of heirship? Is there any reason court required original property papers and will not accept notarized copies or even court-verified property documents? Am i required to submit originals for passports, birth certificates and election cards in court even if court verified copies form part of the existing brief?

All responses would be greatly appreciated.
