Dear Experts,
could you pls advise on the below pls.
if husband acquainted in 498A case then husband can go for divorce base on cruelty which may be strong reason to get the divorce.i hope husband will get divorce based on cruelty.
My question here is that will wife is still eligible to get the permanent alimony while taking the divorce based on cruelty grounds

If acquittal states clearly that it was a false case which is rarity then wife is not eligible for alimony on account of filing false case. A smart advocate of husband’s side can try building up the tempo accordingly.

it depends on many facts.. like tajobsindia has said.
it also depends on employment status of the wife.
