Respected Members,
I have filed a Petition U/Sec. 457 Cr.P.C, to order interim custody of the Two wheeler vehicle
But the above petition was returned stating that the Chassis Number of the above vehicle was wrong.
In the above petition the chassis number is correct as per the Vehicle R.C, but the police have wrongly mentioned it. The original R.C also filed along with the above application
Again it was returned stating that Chassis Number was wrong
Please suggest what I have to do further

You approach the concerned police to modify the chasis number in their records, if not you can file a petition before concerned court to appoint an advocate commissioner to inspect and record the correct chasis number by comparing the same with the original RC book to that of the vehicle and to nullify the false number mentioned in the police records.
