Pf celing

Dear Sir,

I have one query about PF act ceiling of Rs. 15,000. I shall present my query in the form of case in front of you as follows :

Case 1.

A working in a company on Rs. 12,000.00 salary and PF deduction is on Rs. 12,000.00 ( assuming that he is present for 30 days within a month ) But he remains absent on duties for 15 days then his salary would be Rs. 6,000.00 and the deduction is made accordingly.

Case 2.

B working in the same company on Rs. 30,000.00 salary and PF deduction is on 15,000.00 as the company policy is that they will submits the contribution on max ceiling only and not at actual salary) (assuming that he is present for 30 days within a month) But he is absent on duties for 15 days then his salary would be Rs. 15,000.00. So in this case on what amount we should consider for deduction of PF.

Option 1 Rs. 15,000.00 Or Option 2. Rs. 7,500.00

According to which clause of the PF act / rule.

Regards,

Rahul
