Procedure to get employment/salary confirmation from employer in maintenance case

I'm having a maintenance case against me under CRPC 125. I have information regarding my wife's employer details, but to prove that in court I will need the court to send a letter/notice to the employer to get an official confirmation regarding her income details etc. The employer is a private registered company. what is the right procedure to get this done? how long it will take?

1. you can summon the employer of your wife to produce the relevant documents

2. you can file an application in the trial court to direct your wife to produce financial detail affidavit in lieu of High Court judgement, however, the same will be binding upon you too.
