Provisions under which court can cancel the sale deed

I have purchased a shop from my landlord and have the sale deed registered and property mutated. now the landlord claims that he will have the sale deed cancelled from the court as the sale deed has some incorrect facts regarding year of construction of property... please advise..

If the landlord had full and clear title over the property and have received the consideration and the property is correctly described so that it can be identified then, he cannot get the sale deed cancelled on the ground that the year of construction is incorrectly mentioned.

alteration of facts is now your prerogative. landlord cannot interfere.

That is no ground for cancellation. Don't worry. The correct procedure to go in for is a rectification deed duly registered.
