Rainy tin shed attached to window grill

Hello,

I am staying in a co-operative housing society. I have bought a flat on 23rd floor recently a year ago. My previous owner had installed rainy tin shed attached to the window grill so that rainy water won't come inside the window. Society has sent me a notice asking to remove the tin shed as it is disturbing aesthetic look of the building. Removing the tin shed will impact me as the rainy water will leak inside and might cause seepage through walls. Do I have any legal option in my favour?

You cannot violate the bylaws in this regard.

You cannot expect the rain water to seep inside your house because the building has been constructed taking everything possible calamities into consideration.

Such constructions will certainly spoil the aesthetics of the building hence bylaws have been framed accordingly.

Any legal action you may propose to initiate in this regard will not be maintainable.
