Reasoning about a judgement

Can I ask the judge the reasoning about his judgement?

Does it attract the Contempt of the Court?

A judgment is always based on reasoning, you definitely have a right to know the basis on which the judgment is passed. Normally if their is no reason provided, then that amounts to order based on oral arguments.
