Regarding property search

Hi,

We heard from our elders that my grand father had some properties near Krishnagiri, Tamil nadu and after his death in 1978 till now, we have no idea about the property location or survey numbers. All we know is village names where property mentioned could be located. The VAO of the village is not co-operating in this matter. We are also suspecting the properties could have been forged and registered as well. Is there any procedure where we can file some petition in court and get directions from court to search for any land on his name from either patta or registry and get survey numbers and put a civil case on those properties?

Can someone guide on this.

In the land records department you can file for search for properties near Krishnagiri, Tamil nadu in the name of your late grandfather. Pay necessary fees/charges in the office. Carry out search for last 80 years and you can get the details from land records department

You can submit an application to the concerned registrar office for property search either by yourself or through an advocate by paying the requisite fee for the purpose.

You can access land ownership information and land records of Indian states online through the National Land Record Modernization Program (NLRMP) launched by the Indian government . The program aims to computerize the recording of rights (RoR), the registration process, and other activities

You can also verify whether the land belongs to Government or Private through the National Portal of India . The portal provides a single-window access to information and services that are electronically delivered from all Government Departments, Institutions, and Organizations .

If you want to check your land record in India, you need to visit the official land record website of the concerned state where you reside and fill in the mandatory fields to check your land records
