I just want to ask is it necessary to register with Mumbai/Bombay Shops and establishment Act even if the company is already registered under Delhi Shops and Establishment Act at Delhi, and their mumbai office has just 12 persons who come to office.
Company has office in Mumbai since 2007 but in 2007 only one or two employees were there.
In 2008, last qtr there were 5/6 people in the office.
but in 2009 there are 10 people in the organisation who come to office. few employees are there who do not come to office for a single day and go to client's site and they will be working there at clinet site as long as they work with the company.
So if the employee strength is around 10 people then also is it necessary to register under Shops and establishment act in Mumbai.
If we get it register now will I have to register from 2007 because lease of the office is since then only.
what are the penalties of not done now if we go for registration now.
is there any way out to avoid the penalty.
