Registration without oc

hi. i am close to buy a flat which is 80% complete. builder is saying he will give oc in 2..3 months. he is insisting to do registry this month. what should i do

Hello,

It is nice that the builder is insisting on the registration of the deed. There is no harm to purchase under construction flat. If the builder fails to get OC of the flat in that case you have the right to file a complaint with the consumer forum.

OC certifies that the builder has complied with all the approved plans. A buyer can only move into the apartment once the OC has been received and taking possession without OC is illegal. However OC not required for registration.
So take your call accordingly.
