Sale of residential. property

Our father has left a will leaving the  house built on plot in Bangalore  equally to four siblings.we have  got the family tree made showing we are the only legal heirs and accordingly got our names in   bbmp ,bwssb and bescom  records . Is this sufficient for us to sell the property  .as the plot was bought way back in 1960 and house was built on it in 1998. Do we need to get valuation of property done for plot  and house sepately as on  1 st april 2001.

If your father had written a will and the property belonged to him then those stated in the will are the owners of the property. They can jointly sell the property. Only the documents showing the ownership rights of your late father and the will are necessary to sell the property. Whenever a property is to be sold the most important factor is that the buyer should be satisfied with the documents.

What is the context for this query? Is the propspective buyer not satified with the documents?
