Second wife rights over ancestral proeprty in a hindu family

Does SECOND WIFE GETS ANY RIGHTS ON ANCESTRAL PROEPRTY in a Hindu Family.During the existence of FIRST WIFE all the ancetral property was given to the first wife children without leaving any other property.

After the death of first wife , father had gone for a second marriage without the concerned of the children and now the second wife is claiming the ancestral property which is already given to the first wife children as gift deed.My query is does the second wife can calim the above said propert or not.If yes what to to do to be at safe side.

Hi,

Firstly the ancestral property cannot be gifted in hindu family.

Secondly.. even if the first wife is alive or dead the second wife can always claim the share in the property.. but we have to see the detail facts of the case.

Whether first or second wife cannot claim any share during your lifetime in your or in your ancestral property, they can claim only if you died intestate .
