I read it in a newspaper that Males who dramatise as females in the rural areas during dramas or the jatras (as in bengali).They cn be punishable under this section of IPC.So i wanted 2 knw the detai of it.

Only faking to be women cant be penalised under this section. there must be unnatural penetration to attract this section.
please go through the section and you will understand what it wants to say.

this section is intended to punish certain unnatural offences like sodomy. buggery etc. the offenses consists in having carnal knoweldge against the order of nature by a person with a man, or with a woman, or by a man or woman in any manner with an animal.

Whoever voluntarily has carnal intercourse against order of nature will be punishable u/s 377 IPC.It is intended to punish the offence of sodomy,burggery or bestiality.It may be with a man,woman or animal.Unlike rape the actual sentence imposed is not heavy.

They cannot be punished.It is dramatised event to gain money.
