The Chancellor, Masters & Scholars of the University of Oxford & Ors. v. Rameshwari Photocopy Services & Ors. [DU Photocopying Case]
The high court stated that the course packs, I.e. the photocopies of parts of books of a syllabus and its distribution is not infringement of copyright so long as the purpose of such distribution is justified. It was observed that such reproduction of copies of books is not infringement under Section 52(1)(i) of Copyright Act.
