Seminar on Role of Arbitration in Infrastructure Development

The need for settlement of disputes through arbitral process is increasing with more and more Engineering, Construction and Infrastructure Projects happening all around, and with the influx of more MNCs bidding for such projects of high stakes. There is also increase in the number of Corporates entering the construction sectors. All this means more issues and disputes arising between the contracting parties. Naturally there is an increasing demand for expert arbitrators, be it domestic or international arbitration.  Apart from ad hoc panel of arbitrators, there is an increased need for parties opting for Institutional Arbitration.

 

Keeping this in mind, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organizing Seminar on “Role of Arbitration in Infrastructure Development” on 9th October 2015 at 10.30 am at PHD Chamber, New Delhi.

 

The objective of the seminar is to provide a focus on the emerging trends in International Arbitration, to promote the use of arbitration / Mediation and Institutional Arbitration / Online Dispute Resolution (ORD) in Construction Industry. The work Shop will deliberate on the following topics, focusing on best practices and presenting case study.

 

The Seminar will be of great relevance to Industry, Arbitrators, Lawyers, Central/ State Government officials, senior officers from the public and private sector companies who have to deal with disputes in the construction and other sectors.
