settlement in police station

Does any written settlement done in police station between two parties stands legit? Could a party still take legal action against the other one on the same topic(which was settled in police station) later in life?

1. "written settlement done in police station between two parties" would be termed as done in "duress /pressure /threats". Hence such settlement is equivalent to Toilet Paper, for purposes of legal disputes.
