1. "written settlement done in police station between two parties" would be termed as done in "duress /pressure /threats". Hence such settlement is equivalent to Toilet Paper, for purposes of legal disputes.

Yes, such a settlement has no legal effect. Settlements effected through Courts or through Legal Sevices Authority alone are valid, legally.
