Sharing House property title with wife

Hi,

I have self acquired house with my name which got constructed by taking home loan before my marriage. Since my wife is working now, she would like to claim the tax benefit on home loan. How can I include my wife in title of the property so that she can claim tax benefit  in cost effective way. Gift deed?

We are based in Bangalore

Please advice.

Thanks,
Hemanth

this is family law forum and we discuss divorce and maintenance cases here, so from that angle long term damage may be there.

My suggestion would be that don't make you single hold property as joint property and let it be single. As many times both working person means husband and wife lead to divorce situation and in that case you will have to share half of you property.

But if it is solely yours then it is beneficial for you.
