No. All the members should contribute equal amounts for society maintanance

Sir, i need your advice from legal point of view. i have worked for a MNC (covered under shops & estblshmt Act) for the period 4years & 326days in fifth year. i left this co.without claiming gratuity as i thought i am not eligible. i am getting mixed opinion on whether i am eligible to get gratuity by law or not. pls advise. on what grounds can my ex-employer deny my claim if they want? is getting gratuity paid depends from co to co & their policies or by law is there one rule for all? i am totally confused if i should approach my ex employer to claim gratuity or not. pls advise sir.thank you.
