Dear Bharat,

It depends from organization to organization.

Mainly practically speaking these are the following verticals.

Sectarial - Looking after Company Law, ROC, Compliance etc.

Commercial and Document Drafting - Legal and Commercial Agreements etc.

Litigation - Comprising of people who draft pleadings, briefs Seniors do the research work.

Last but not least depending upon the nature of business in financial sector Legal Department has its separate team for specific need based activities i.e. Liasoning, For recovery purposes S 138 N I Act, Sarfaesi Act, Winding Up Petitions or specific technical Arbitration proceedings.
