Hello Experts,
I am an Indian citizen and will be travelling to US for higher studies this August. After graduating from an Indian college I worked here for almost 3 years. I quit in May 2010. I have filed Tax returns in India for the 2 previous years except this year so far (will probably file before leaving)
Do I need to obtain a TAX clearance certificate of some sort from the IT dept. before heading abroad ?
I plan to work in US for some time before I head back. What other legal obligations do I need to fulfill before I depart as i wont be in India for atleast 2 years.
