Tenant's rights

We bought tenancy rights of a business & premises (building) from the earlier tenant,19 years ago.
The building was in our possession & business has been running there since then.
Until recently the building deteriorated & owner decided to demolish the building.
What are our rights as a tenant after the building is demolished? What should be done now?
(Tenancy was bought through a registered deed, though it is not reflected in 7/12 of land or municipal's assessment certificate)

Tenancy rights cannot be purchased from another tenant.  An existing tenant can sublet the portion to another tenant provided it is permissible by written clause in the original tenancy or lease agreement.  Therefore the so called "Tenancy was bought   through a registered deed" is not understood how and what was the deed about.  Tenancy rights are not sold, it is always a mutual agreement between the landlord and the tenant.

So let you clarify the details or else it will be better to consult a local advocate by producing the papers before him and can approach for a second opinion   here on the basis of his opinion into the issue.
