To what extent the boundaries will play

Respected Lawersclub Advocates and experts,

I had purchased a land from a person say 'X' , but at the time of registration the Survey number. has been mentioned wrong. The seller 'X' is alive. But when i asked him for rectification deed , the person 'X' rejected. So, i took one of the sons of 'X' and again got registered a fresh sale deed with correct survey number .Is this acceptable in the eyes of Law or not.
