My late father has given his flats to my sister as per his will. Now my sister wants to keep one and give one to me. How should we go about it? Shall we first transfer the flat in her name, with my name as a nominee or/ and then make a gift deed & get it transferred, or else is there any better way to prevent any hassles.
If it is gifted then what is the process of transfer, registration and what is the amount of stamp duty I will have to incur. Thanks.
