Validity period of cheques & dds reduced to 3 months

Dear friends,

RBI has reduced validity period of cheques and DDs from 6 months to 3 months w.e.f. 1.4.2012. Pl refer attached circular.

Reducing validity won't help in reducing cheque bounce cases in any manner. Making law strict will surely help.
