VOTING RIGHTS TO NRI--OCI

GOVT.OF INDIA IS GOING TO ALLOW VOTING RIGHTS TO NRI HOLDING AN INDIAN PASSPORT.

BUT THER IS NO MENTION OF AN OCI (OVERCEAS CITIZEN OF INDIA).

SINCE AN OCI ALSO CARRIES THE STATUS OF NRI  , WILL OCI ALSO HAVE THE  VOTING RIGHTS  WHEN IN INDIA.

PLEASE CLARIFY AND REPLY BY EMAIL AND THROUGH THESE COLUMNS.

WHAT IS THE DIFFRENCE BETWEEN, NON RESIDENT INDIAN & OVERSEAS CITIZEN OF INDIA?

IF A PERSON IS INDIAN CITIZEN, HAS THE RIGHT TO VOTE UNLESS HE LEFT OR DEBARD FROM THE INDIAN CITIZENSHIP.
