We have signed a rental agreement with a person, Himanshu singh who owns a house in jasminium, magarpatta city, pune. We have agreed to pay a deposit of 60k Rs and a monthly rent of 15k. He has agreed to give us the flat cleaned, painitings done and with a set of furniture (details mentioned in the agreement). He has taken 56k deposit before even we have taken the flat keys saying that he has to pay to his previous tenants to make them vacated. Now, he hasn't got the house cleaned, it's in such a filthy condition that one can't stand in a place continuously for more than 5 minutes. 50% of the furniture and electronic goods are not working. If we ask him the same, he says that things will settle down slowly and asks us to pay the remaining amount of advance. He has kept his luggage in one room of our house and locked that room before leaving to UK. We told him that we shall pay the remining amount only when he fixes all the things as per the agreement. He disagrees to it and is asking us to vacate the flat and he will deduct money from our deposit for painintings and rent for a month and will pay deposit when he has money. He is a well educated man and works in TCS Pune. Now I had enough torture from this guy and would want to lodge a complaint against him. Can some one suggest me a good lawyer who delas these kind of cases. How much usually I will be charged for such a case? and is it really worth taking such case to a lawyer?
