My bro in law (Wife's bro) got married in 2010. It was an arranged married. However, the girl could adjust her self in her in law's home. Councelled by our community leaders, Mahila mandali (NGO) finally a police inspector but nothing worked out because of girl's attitude / immaturity. finally my bro in law filed divorce petion before family court in March,2012. After receiving intimation from court, the girl had filed (bogus) case under 498A with other relevent sections with local police on 12.4.2012. She levelled charges of harassment / torture against her husband, husband's eldest bro, in laws, her sis in law (my wife), her sis in law's husband (me) and her husband's maternal uncle. Police arrested us (4 of 7.rest were granted Anticipatory bail)but released on bail after 4 days. We are marking our attendence at local police station regularly. Now I would like to know
1. Under what circumstances our bail will get cancelled?
2. By when police file chargesheet in court (Last date)?
3. When can I file quashing in high court?
4. Since we are implicated in a bogus case, what action can we take against the girl ? can we file defamation case?
