Who owns indian media?

Who owns the media in India?

Let us see the ownership of different media agencies (as on sometime back):

1.       NDTV: A very popular TV news media is funded by Gospels of Charity in Spain Supports Communism. Recently it has developed a soft corner towards Pakistan because Pakistan President has allowed only this channel to be aired in Pakistan. Indian CEO Prannoy Roy is co-brother of Prakash Karat, General Secretary of the Communist party of India. His wife and Brinda Karat are sisters.

2.       India Today: which used to be the only national weekly which supported BJP is now bought by NDTV!! Since then the tone has changed drastically and turned into Hindu bashing.

3.       CNN-IBN: This is 100 percent funded by Southern Baptist Church with its branches in all over the world with HQ in US. The Church annually allocates $800 million for promotion of its channel. Its Indian head is Rajdeep Sardesai and his wife Sagarika Ghosh.

4.       Times group list: Times Of India, Mid-Day, Nav-Bharth Times, Femina, Filmfare, Vijaya Karnataka, Times now (24- hour news channel) and many more... Times Group is owned by Bennett & Coleman. \\\'World Christian Council does 80 percent of the Funding, and an Englishman and an Italian equally share balance 20 percent. The Italian Robertio Mindo is a close relative of Sonia Gandhi.

5.       Star TV: It is run by an Australian, who is supported by St. Peters Pontifical Church Melbourne.

6.       Hindustan Times: Owned by Birla Group, but hands have changed since Shobana Bhartiya took over. Presently it is working in Collaboration with Times Group.

7.       The Hindu: English daily, started over 125 years has been recently taken over by Joshua Society, Berne , Switzerland .. N. Ram\\\'s wife is a Swiss national.

8.       Indian Express: Divided into two groups. The Indian Express and the New Indian Express (southern edition) ACTS Christian Ministries have major stake in the Indian Express and latter is still with the Indian counterpart.

9.       The Statesman: It is controlled by Communist Party of India.

10.   Asian Age and Deccan Chronicle: Is owned by a Saudi Arabian Company with its chief Editor M.J. Akbar.

Gujarat riots which took place in 2002 where Hindus were burnt alive, Rajdeep Sardesai and Bharkha Dutt working for NDTV at that time got huge sum from Saudi Arabia to cover only Muslim victims, which they did very faithfully... Not a single Hindu family was interviewed or shown on TV whose near and dear ones had been burnt alive, it is reported.   Tarun Tejpal of <tehelka.com> regularly gets funds from Arab countries to target Hindus and their sympathyesers only, it is said.

The ownership explains the control of media in India by foreigners. The result is obvious. PONDER OVER THIS. NOW YOU KNOW WHY EVERY ONE IS AGAINST TRUTH, HOW VERY SAD.

NOw it is the habit of the politicians to have their own TV channels

(Guest)

It was an eye opening post. Did you gather this information yourself or you sourced from somewhere. If you have sourced it from elsewhere, would you please give name of the source.

Thanks Mr. Gandhi, some I knew, some taken from others. it's a little old information. In between if some change has taken place, I'm not aware. Let members comment, if they know something more.

I am a regular news reader of various tv channels. Your actual question is whether Indian Media is impartial or not? Whether they serve the news with a hidden political agenda or not?

According to you 'Gospels of Charity in Spain Supports Communism'. Spain and communism are situated in different polarity. In general ideologist of communism does not use such type of name. However it is possible that this institution purchase the shares of the channel. It is a business deal, profit making is the aim. "Prannoy Roy is co-brother of Prakash Karat" - might be, but it is personal relationship, in business it is not a major factor. i heard mr roy long back. In general he provides back support to congress not communists.

"the tone(India Today) has changed drastically and turned into Hindu bashing". Suppose if one criticize Mr. Modi, is he Hindu bashing?

CNN-IBN has several tv channels. One of them is ibn7. One of my favourite channel. I never marked that this channel favour or against any perticuar political party. " The Church annually allocates $800 million" - if it is true then no doubt, it is black money, on the way of making white. Tones of mr Rajdeep Sardesai appears to me as a little bit congressee, where as mr asutosh very impertial in this matter.

"Times Group is owned by Bennett & Coleman"- so what? Is this business group taking part in Indian politics? It seems 'no'.

Everyone knows the relationship between mr rupart mardeck and star tv. However the news served by star tv is impertial.

"The Statesman: It is controlled by Communist Party of India." - a person have common sense cannot comments in such a manner. Statesman represent the capitalist society not communism.

"Not a single Hindu family was interviewed" - it is wrong. One hindu family was interviewed. Ofcourse main portion covered by the families of mohamedan. However the approach was humanic.

"Tarun Tejpal of <tehelka.com> regularly gets funds from Arab countries to target Hindus"- whats are the base of such information?

"NOW YOU KNOW WHY EVERY ONE IS AGAINST TRUTH, HOW VERY SAD". What the truth you want to raise, which suppressed by the Indian media?

According to your logic, as the top of the indian media getting money either from mohamedans or Christians or influenced by communism, therefore they drifted from impartiality to serve the news.

They dislike BJP and serve the news against this party.

Most probably you do not have much connection with the day to day news. Now a days bjp leading and congress lagging in all prominent news channels. Competition is so high that it is dangerous to propaganda for a particular party for them.

Not only political, some other non political news also served impertially, like antony & vk singh; games; child abuse; wife bettered etc. They follow the govt directions also. Before the election result come out, we could not guess the result. They followed the election commission directions.

It is well known fact that various organisations use misleading or socially acceptable names or infiltrate other organizations to further their goals. Since communism is not very popular in Spain, it is very much possible that such a name or organization is being used as a front to further the aims of communist agenda in disguise.

Any clever business group never takes open part in politics. But they control their interests and agendas by manipulating politics and governments around the world from back doors. It is well known fact that many government policies, legislations and even Constitutions of third world countries are/ have been manipulated from outside the countries.

Rupert Mudock, George Soros and many other similar billionares are clever enough to further their interests and at the same time ensure that people do not realise this fact. Star TV or any other media group may appear impartial to common man but on closer scrutiny and analysis it will be found it is not always the case. There is an entirely different branch of science involved to manipulate, mislead, brainwash the minds of people to make them believe that whatever that is being told to them is impartial and truth. It is a modern way to control the minds of people to enslave them.

The difference between the communist and the capitalist is that, one locks up its people and the other its money.

Under the cover "Who owns the media in India?" the actual question raised by the author is,

(i) Whether Indian Media is impartial or not?

(ii) Whether they serve the news with a hidden political agenda to favour a particular political party or not?

The logic of the author is, as the top of the Indian media getting money either from Mohamedans or Christians or influenced by communism, therefore they drifted from impartiality to serve the news.

The author did not produce any piece of news where the reader convinced that - yes, these are happening.

The business groups establish relationship with all leading parties. I felt that they do not manipulate the news, because all most all channels deliver the same news.

"There is an entirely different branch of science involved to manipulate, mislead, brainwash the minds of people to make them believe that whatever that is being told to them is impartial and truth. It is a modern way to control the minds of people to enslave them". - I heard Hitler established this science.

Country like India, where multi party system functioning well; small and regional parties strong enough to isolate the leading national parties like congress & bjp; media sufficiently strong and going through hard competition; army is non political; people and the society more or less awaken; there it is difficult to manipulate the politics through media manipulation. Still then if media manipulation is there please let me know.

The difference between the communist and the capitalist is that, one locks up its people and the other its money. It is over simplification.

First of all we have to understand that the communism and the communist parties are different. Many times communist parties failed due to corruption; internal difference of opinion; and pressure created by capitalists. However it is different than the present issue.

Indian media is not always impartial. This does not mean every media is impartial.

News media do serve with a hidden political agenda. This does not mean every news media serves news with hidden political agenda.

Agree he did not produce any evidence that money is flowing into them for this purpose. How can the reporting of violent attacks with implicit support of State machinary on minorities, dalits or other weaker sections of society be called impartial? His statements seem to be based on some imaginary conjectures.

They might be delivering same news, but they are also ignoring certain kind of news that is not meeting their "requirement". Also if you see their "talk shows" etc. they are heavily scriptted, moderated in a direction decided by them. Also they avoid to talk on matters they do not like as their "requirements" are not met. All these instructions come from their top bosses keeping in mind their political philosophies. Ruling party in Government also knows how to "control" the media houses in its favor by various means. Some of the tools being used by government are advertisements, newsprint qouta etc.

It has been used since ages. "Divine revealations" used by some clever and cunning men claiming to be communicating with god, angels etc. is one such example used historically to brainwash, manipulate and control the minds of people so that they follow blindly. Entire civilizations were created or destroyed using this type of tricks. Might be Hitler became famous for it because he used it in some systematic manner. But the main thing is, it is still being used by those in power, either political or monetary power. Government used it for a long time openly by using monopoly of All India Radio and Doordharshan. Still doing it through various other means.

All India Radio and Doordarshan is already there to help government. Government favors or carrot and stick to media is also there as told above government advertisements, newsprint quouta and various other ways. Also take example of Anna Hazare compaign, how the government succesfuly derailed it by planting stories. Take the recent example of Gen. VK Singh how stories were suppressed, leaked or planted in media. You can refer this https://www.lawyersclubindia.com/forum/Did-gen-v-k-singh-get-justice--51743.asp?1=1&offset=2
