How many people can collectivley lodge civil writ petition? I heard from a lawyer that maximum two people can lodge writ petitiion.We,the 26 people intend to lodge a writ petition in Mumbai High court. Can we do that?
Dear Shrikant,
If the subject matter is the same and the rights of the parties to the petition is being collectively affected by or against the respondents by the act of the respondent, all the persons can file a joint petition. Therein all the petitioners will have to specify how they are affected.
