Actor Shiney Ahuja arrested on charges of rape

The Oshiwara police today formally arrested Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja on charges of raping a teenaged housemaid yesterday afternoon.

The actor, famous for his roles in Gangster, & Life in a Metro and Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi was detained by the police late last night for questioning after the 18-year-old maid filed a complaint of rape against him.

The police arrested Ahuja after gathering evidences against the actor, sources said.

The maid, who had been working with Ahuja since last two and a half months, told the police yesterday that the actor had raped her in his Oshiwara flat at 1500 hours yesterday when they were alone in the house.

She also stated in the FIR that Ahuja’s wife was not at home when the incident occurred, police sources said, adding, that the girl was sent for medical examination to Nagpada hospital and the preliminary reports have confirmed the crime.

The actor was critically acclaimed for his role in Khoya Khoya Chand, also starring Soha Ali Khan.
