Ajmal Amir Kasab Trial: Kasab wants to observe Roza in jail

Lone Pakistani terrorist captured during the 26/11 attacks, Ajmal Amir Kasab today said he wished to observe ‘Roza’ in jail, during the holy month of Ramzan, beginning from August 23.

As soon as court’s proceeding for the day was completed today, Kasab stood in dock and prayed to the designated court that he wanted to observe ‘Roza’, but did not know the timings of starting the fast and ending it.

He said there was no watch in the prison and so he would not know the time, and demanded that a time table of ‘Roza’ be provided to him, enabling him to keep the fast.

Following this, designated Judge M L Tahaliyani said he would instruct the jail authorities in this regard and they would provide him the time table.

Earlier, Kasab’s counsel Advocate Abbas Kazmi had given him four Urdu story books on his request.
