The DGP sought assent of the High Court to implement the same to prevent unwanted obstruction to traffic. A division bench of the High Court comprising chief justice A R Dave and justice R Subash Reddy pointed out that the guidelines prepared by the DGP would adequately meet the requirement, therefore, no order was required by the court. The bench observed that all political parties should adhere to the guidelines. The High Court had passed interim orders staying the roadshows on November 26 this year.
