Bombay High Court refused to grant a stay on the release of Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Ghajini’, scheduled to open in theatres across the country tomorrow. Refusing to grant the stay, sought by KBC Pictures, which is claiming to possess copyright to the story and screenplay of the film, Justice D G Karnik adjourned the next hearing till January 26 and asked both the parties to file affidavits supporting their claims. ‘Ghajini’ is the Hindi remake of the Tamil film. The film was also made in Telugu. A R Murgadoss, the writer and director of the Hindi film has been named as the main party in the suit, along with the producers.
