Cabinet approves Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Bill, 2006

The Union Cabinet today gave its approval to move official amendments in the Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Bill, 2006, introduced in the Rajya Sabha on 23rd August, 2006 based on the suggestions of the Parliament Standing Committee on Home Affairs in its 128th Report presented on 16th August, 2007. The suggestions contained in the Report of the Parliamentary Committee on Home Affairs will improve the administration of criminal justice system.
