Cheque Bounce Cases

The Law Commission of India in its 213th Report on “Fast Track Magisterial Courts for Dishonored Cheque Cases” has made the following recommendations:- (i) Fast Track Courts of Magistrates should be created to dispose of the dishonored cheque cases section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881; (ii) The Central Government and State Governments must provide necessary funds to meet the expenditure involve in the creation of Fast Track Courts, supporting staff and other infrastructure. The report is under examination of the Government. This information was given by Shri K.Venkatapathy, Minister of State in the Ministry of Law and Justice in the Lok Sabha today.
