Consultative Committee, Labour and Employment Discusses "Chief Labour Commissioner (Central),Shram Suvidha Portal and Implementation of Building and other Construction Workers"

The meeting confirmed the minutes of the previous meeting and discussed the agenda in detail. Members appreciated the initiatives taken by the Ministry and suggested ways to improve it further. The suggestions included instant relief to victim workers, timely redressal of workers’ grievances and awareness creation among workers regarding benefits and services available to them. Shri Bandaru Dattatreya assured members to take care of the suggestions made. 

The Minister thanked members for their valuable suggestions and assured due consideration. He urged the members to cooperate in the endevours of the Mininstry of L&E for maximising the benefits to the workesrs. The Members of Parliament who attended the Committee’s meeting include Shri Ladu Kishore Swain, Shri Shankar Prasad Datta, Shri NK Premchandran, Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, Shri Kaushal Kishore (all from LS) and Dr.Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu(RS). 

The last meeting of the Committee was held on 14th July, 2015 on “Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation(EPFO)”.
