Delhi HC lawyers boycott work protesting Chennai attack

New Delhi, Feb 27 (UNI) Work in the Delhi High Court was completely paralysed today, as lawyers boycotted court in protest against the assault on their counterparts in Chennai. The Delhi High Court Bar Association sources said they took the resolve after considering the request of the Bar Council of India as also of a joint meeting of the Supreme Court Bar Association and the presidents of the Madras High Court Bar Association and the Federation of Tamil Nadu Bar Association. The Delhi Bar Association termed the attack on the judges and lawyers as unprecedented in judicial history and condemned the police action.
