Ganold S. Massar appointed as Advocate General of Meghalaya The Meghalaya Cabinet today appointed Mr Ganold S. Massar the Advocate General, replacing Mr Anil Sharma of the state. Mr Massar, a senior advocate of the Gauhati High Court and a lawyer of repute, is also the first tribal to be appointed to the post. Earlier, he was also member of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly from Nongshkhen constituency and Chief Executive Member of Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council. This is also the first time that someone from Meghalaya will be occupying the office of Advocate General.
