Chennai, Mar 10 (UNI)The Madras High Court Registrar General today denied that Chief Justice H L Gokhale has recommended the transfer of former Acting Chief Justice(ACJ) S J Mukhopadhaya to some other court with promotion, after ''he came under attack'' by the Srikrishna Commission, which probed the clash between Police and Lawyers in the high court complex on February 19. Reacting to a report by UNI, last night that the Chief Justice has recommended to the apex court that Justice Mukhopadhaya be transferred to any other High court in the country with an elevation ''to save the decorum of the High court and the judge'', Registrar General R Mala said''the news report on the face of it is false and baseless''.
