Madras High Court cleared the decks for the release of Hindi version of Amir Khan’s ‘Ghajini’ by quashing the single Judge order staying the film’s release. A Division Bench, comprising Mr Justice V Danabalan and Mr Justice M Sathyanarayanan, passed the above order on the condition that Geetha Arts Division of Allu Entertainment Private Limited, which produced Ghajini in Hindi, deposited Rs five crore with the Court Registry. On a plea by the counsel of the Hindi film producer, the Bench modified its order and allowed them to deposit Rs 3 crore by a DD. The Bench granted a week’s time to deposit the balance Rs 2 crores, failing which, the original producer of ‘Ghajini’ (in Tamil) could make a mention before the court on December 30 for further action.
