Notification to be issued today, for the Meghalaya Assembly poll

The filing of nominations for the Meghalaya Assembly elections will begin from Friday, and will close on the 15th of this month. The last date for withdrawal is the 18th. A single-phase election of the 60-seat Assembly will be held on 3rd March and counting will be on 7th March. Meanwhile, in Tripura, political parties have started campaigning for the 23rd February elections. The Left, Congress and BJP are engaged in door to door campaigning. The election commission has issued a new set of directives for distributing postal ballots.
