PATNA HC: SHAHABUDDIN GRANTED BAIL IN IMPERSOSONATION CASE 12/23/2008 The Patna High Court granted bail to incarcerated RJD MP Mohammed Shahabuddin in connection with impersonation in LLB exam. Justice S M Mahfuj Alam granted bail to Mohammed Shahabuddin after hearing the arguments of both sides. According to the charges, the RJD MP had used a fake candidate to appear in the LLB Exam on his behalf at R D S College Muzaffarpur in October 2005. Mohammed Shahabuddin had filled up LLB examination form from S K Law College on the basis of forged documents and used a fake candidate to appear on his behalf. A case in this connection was registered in concerned police station in 2005. Presently, the RJD MP is serving life term at Siwan jail in connection with kidnapping and subsequent killing of a CPI(ML) leader. Several criminal cases are also pending against Mohammed Shahabuddin. UNI
